The Filtered Replacements Store is an optional feature of Philter that records the locations in text that were identified as PHI or PII. Note that this does not include the actual PHI/PII – it only includes the locations identified by index positions. The purpose of the Filtered Replacements Store is to provide a historical record of how text was manipulated. To enable the Filtered Replacements Store refer to the Configuration. An instance of Elasticsearch is required. (Prior to Philter 1.1.0 MongoDB was required.)
The Filtered Replacements Store can be queried via Philter’s API to retrieve the locations of identified PHI/PII in text by document ID.
