When deployed via the AWS Marketplace or Azure Marketplace, Philter is installed as a service. It can be controlled using the service start and stop commands:
sudo service philter start sudo service philter stop
Philter exposes various metrics via JMX.
/status endpoint can be used to monitor Philter’s status. It returns
HTTP 200 OK response to requests when the Philter service is running and available. This endpoint is ideal for usage with monitoring tools and cloud infrastructure like AWS Elastic Load Balancers in an autoscaling environment. Note that the default self-signed certificate may not be suitable with some monitoring tools and a valid certificate may be required.
